DEP says Fenimore emission spikes are a monitor ‘glitch’

Township and state officials were investigating an unusually high reading of hydrogen sulfide emissions Wednesday morning at Fenimore Landfill.

“At approximately 6:45 a.m., monitor 8 at the landfill had uncharacteristically high reading for a brief duration,” township manager Chris Raths wrote on the township’s Facebook page. “This reading was immediately followed by more common readings.
